NOTICE No: MT000000830
MODEL: Mazda MPV YEAR: 1991-1993
AFFECTED VINs: Lower than JM3 LV5*** P0 528845
SUBJECT: Stumble, surge, rough idle/hot restart (O2 sensor)
DETAILS:

After vehicle is at operating temperature and is stopped and allowed to heat soak, the engine may surge or run rough after start-up. This is likely to occur during rainy weather or high humidity. This may be due to condensation and moisture accumulating in the oxygen sensor connector located at the right side of the transmission tail shaft.

Disconnect connector B2-09 and inspect for moisture and corrosion. If either exists, clean and dry terminals and pack connector with a suitable dielectric grease and tape connector to prevent moisture intrusion. If connector on the emission harness side is corroded and cannot be cleaned, contact your regional hotline for additional technical assistance.
