The EC-AT will slip in all forward ranges and reverse due to low ATF level.
Because the EC-AT has suffered extensive damage due to slippage, correcting the
ATF level will NOT eliminate the problem.
After removing the transfer case, you will notice the extension housing seal
has moved out of its bore and is attached to the transfer case input flange.
This seal is designed to prevent ATF from mixing with the transfer case gear
oil.
Remove the transfer case assembly from the EC-AT and inspect the extension
housing seal. If the seal is out of position, replace the old extension housing
with new modified housing (below).

Note: Modified housing also includes latest engineering change to
eliminate oil leakage from the breather. The area below the breather assembly
has a 4mm boss cast into the housing to raise the breather and prevent it from
extending too far inward. Use this area to identify the new vs old style
housing.
