Symptoms and Conditions

When replacing the ATX valve body, the Workshop Manual does not indicate what position the gear selector should be in to ease valve body installation.

Repair Procedure

Before removing or installing the valve body from the vehicle, put the gear shift selector in the manual '2' position.

When the ATX is put in the '2' position, it will be easier to align the manual plate with the manual valve in the valve body.

The valve body installation procedure can be found on Page 05-17-49 in the Workshop Manual.
