| SUBJECT: Gear Range Indicator (1-4) Inoperative in "D" Range |

- DETAILS:
Some customers may complain of an inoperative gear range indicator (1-4) when the shift lever is in "D". However, the gear range indicator does display the range while in the "manual" mode. This is normal for
early production 2004 models. Vehicles produced before 11/01/2003 will only display the gear range indicator in the "manual" mode, while vehicles produced after 11/01/2003 display the gear range indicator in "D" and "manual" mode. No repair attempts are necessary for these characteristics.
