SUBJECT: Water Pump Replacement
DETAILS: The 2000 Model Year MPV Workshop Manual (Section 10-12) incorrectly states replacement of the water pump mounting bolts are necessary any time the water pump is removed/replaced. This is not correct. It is not necessary to replace the bolts when removing/replacing the water pump. Additionally, the tightening torque procedure and specification is incorrect. Correct tightening torque is: 18 N·m {184 kgf·cm, 159 in·lbf} Bolt tightening procedure: Do not tighten an additional 90 deg after torquing to above spec.
