| SUBJECT: TCM error/MIL ON/false DTC P0757 stored |
- DETAILS:
Vehicles built before 3-11-02 may have customers complaining that MIL is ON but no
drivability problems are exhibited. DTC P0757 is stored. This may be caused by a TCM programming error.
Due to the TCM program logic not matching the WDS program logic, you must use NGS w/ver. 9.0 card and select "Generic Mode" to retrieve any
DTC(s) that may be stored.
- If DTC P0757 is retrieved, contact the technical assistance hotline and request that a revised TCM be shipped to you.
- After installing revised TCM, roadtest the vehicle to make sure the MIL does not turn ON again.
- Verify repair and return vehicle to customer. Revised TCM should be available to order through normal parts channels late May or early June 2002.
