SUBJECT: Front Brake Groan
DETAILS:

When the brakes are warm and moderate to heavy braking occurs, a groaning or grinding noise may be heard. In mass production, the front pads have been changed to prevent this problem.

Customers complaining of this noise should have the front brakes pads replaced with new parts.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

  1. Verify the complaint.
  2. If the noise is coming from the front brakes, replace the pads.
  3. If the noise in not coming from the front brakes, refer to the applicable workshop manual for troubleshooting and repair information.
  4. Verify repair.
